Provides instruction and support to direct support professionals in learning and implementing duties and responsibilities involved in working with people with disabilities.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements to teach CPR and Alternative Intervention Techniques which includes kneeling, standing, bending, etc.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of classes taught
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the work day
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
  • Possession of sight/hearing senses, or use of prosthetic devices which will enable these senses to function adequately
  • Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Willingness to take initiative and adapt to circumstances
  • Ability to follow daily routines while allowing for flexibility and planning creative alternatives
  • Ability to use a personal computer and the established software efficiently.

  • Must have previous experience with a strong track record of customer service
  • Posses a valid driver’s license and vehicle to travel to customer sites
