Person-Centered Outcomes and Progress Reports, with Positive Support Strategies: A Deeper Dive – Virtual Classroom
July 27, 2022 @ 10:00 - 15:30
In recent 245D licensing reviews for intensive service providers, there has been an increased emphasis on positive support strategies. One great way to integrate these strategies into your documentation is infusing them in your outcomes. These aren’t cookie cutter outcomes focusing on what the team thinks the person “should” learn, but instead outcomes that center on what the person considers meaningful and important to their quality of life. In this class, we will take a deeper dive into how to write these outcomes including real-life examples and tips for how to come up with creative options while including positive support strategies. Additionally, we will also explore the 245D requirement of progress reports. All people who receive intensive services need a progress report at least once a year, if not more frequently. Progress reports can also be an opportunity to uniquely reflect who a person is, while still meeting the 245D requirements. Person-centered positive support strategies are included through anything that is written about the person. Please join us for a deeper dive into learning how to write both person-centered outcomes and progress reports, with positive support strategies.
